Required Information for a Valid DMCA Notice
To be considered valid and actionable, your DMCA notice must include all of the following information, as required under 17 U.S.C. Section 512(c)(3):
- Identification of the copyrighted work: A clear description of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed, or, if multiple works are covered, a representative list.
- Identification of the infringing material: A clear identification of the material on our Site that you claim is infringing, including the specific URL(s) where the material appears.
- Your contact information: Your full legal name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
- Good faith statement: A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- Accuracy statement: A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or are authorized to act on the copyright owner’s behalf.
- Signature: A physical or electronic signature of the person authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.
Incomplete notices or notices submitted in bad faith will not be processed. We reserve the right to seek damages for fraudulent or bad-faith DMCA claims as permitted by law.
Our Response to Valid Notices
Upon receipt of a complete and valid DMCA notice, we will respond promptly, typically within 2 business days. Our response may include one or more of the following actions:

- Forwarding of the notice to the party responsible for the content, if applicable
Counter-Notice Procedure
If you believe that content you submitted or that relates to you was removed in error or as a result of misidentification, you may submit a counter-notice. A valid counter-notice must include:
- Your full legal name, address, telephone number, and email address
- Identification of the content that was removed and the URL where it appeared before removal
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief that the content was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification
- A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the applicable federal court and will accept service of process from the party who submitted the original DMCA notice
- Your physical or electronic signature
